About Ari Plosker and Sunscape Photography

I purchased my first camera for an extended conference in Washington DC in 2003, a 3.2 megapixel Fuji Finepix s602 Zoom. From my first day shooting with it on the Mall, I was thoroughly hooked. The camera was off the market soon after, but my interest in photography only intensified and I purchased an upgraded camera only 6 months later.

I do not think of myself as having a specialty in photography, but I am partial to landscape, architecture, and other outdoor genres. Such subjects often lend themselves to abstraction; an interest that I would like to think comes through in my work in general, regardless of genre.

Like many before me, I have discovered that a great intimacy develops while studying the details of a scene or subject through the lens, especially nature subjects. It is this intimacy that drives my passion, and which fuels an ever-expanding connection with my subjects.

And like most outdoor photographers, ultimately, the feeling of humility while being "out there" is what it is all about.

I thank you for your interest in my work,
Ari
